This project, conceived by designer Michel Amar, was inspired by the dynamics of space to create harmony guided by the patina of time.
The Versailles floor tiles were chosen to evoke the opulent interiors of manor houses, in keeping with the noble materials left in their original 19th-century state. The aim was to create an atmosphere that would complement the delicate contemporary lighting and furniture. The owner was convinced to mark the patina of time through this GUSTAVE varnished finish, accentuated by subtle wear and tear on the wood, in our Parisian workshop, in order to personalise it for this unique project.
In order to energise the spaces according to the movement created by the rooms, we have reproduced this finish in TRECCIA and CONTINU formats in other parts of this exceptional flat.
